MY CAMERA IS BROKEN

Oh no, it has happened, the thing that I have been dreading for so long. My camera is broken and so is my heart. I am devistated. I can't find the words really.

I can see the shots in my camera but when I try to open them up and look at them in my computer I can't see them, then they don't exixt on the memorycard. What's wrong? Help me please. All the other shots I have taken before I can see but not the ones I have taken in the last day or two.

Why oh why? I am so very sad.

If you are really really desparate ... you could try reformatting your memory card. But maybe you should try a new empty memory card first and see if that fixes it. If a new one works, then the old one may have a formatting problem. Just an idea :) Peace

I would agree with trying a new card. But I would also take it to a reputable shop before you reformat the card. They just may be in a different format than your computer can read. Maybe they can be changed to a compatible format. Just a thought. It's a sad and frustrating day...I am sure.

Kortet bör formateras efter varje gång du tömmer det. Formateringen görs direkt i kameran.

I am very sorry to read about your broken camera. When one of mine needed repair a few months ago I felt like my child was sick!!! ;D

Seriously, before you laugh at the crazy man - formating your card is a good idea, but it should be a last resort because you will probably loose all the shots you took. There are card data recovery programs that are available online (probably from the manufacturer of your card) that may be able to recover your missing data. You will probably need a card reader to get this done...

Alternately, if the photos are really important, you could try taking it to a higher-end camera shop to see if there is anything they can do.

Best of luck to you!!!
